MysticThumbs generates thumbnails of many image formats not natively supported by Windows.
It plugs into Windows Explorer so you don't have to run a separate application to preview your images, see them all in the native shell and Open/Save dialog boxes in all 32 and 64 bit applications!
Enhanced thumbnails
MysticThumbs has a fully configurable control panel where you can adjust thumbnail generation options and icon overlays, with options like transparency, thumbnail borders, scaling, embedded thumbnail selection and more.
Compound file support for files such as HTML, Maya and EML that use external files to make a complete image.
Options are controlled on a file type / extension level or if required on a specific file basis through context menu control in Explorer.

Install Notes
- Starting from version 2.6.6 MysticThumbs is signed using a Microsoft® Authenticode® Certificate. Do not install if you have received from a third party source and receive an unknown publisher warning.
- Install and updates require Administrator privileges.
- Version 2.6.5 has a crash issue checking for updates. You may have to download and update manually from that version.
Purchase
Single User (Home) License - $25 licensed to a named person to be used for non-professional purposes.
Site (Business) licenses starting at $29 per seat and discounted for bulk purchases. Licensed to a company. You should buy as many seats as people that will be using MysticThumbs at once.

License Terms
Single User (Home) License: you can use the program for non-commercial purposes in non-business, non commercial environment. That is, you only intend to use it at home for private use. You may use the program on one computer at the same time. Your license key and license will be assigned to a private person.
Limitations: Each single user license can only be used by one machine/user at any one time.
Site (Business) Licenses: you (individual or company) can use the program in a business, academic, or government environment. You may use the program on the allotted amount of seats assigned to the license. There are no floating (concurrent) licenses. If more than one person works with the program, you need to purchase additional licenses for each party. The license key will be assigned to the name provided at the time of purchase and will reflect the total number of license seats purchased. The license cost tiers reflect discounts for purchasing in bulk but do not entitle more than the amount of seats purchased, therefore a license purchased for 51 seats does not entitle more than 51 seats to be used.
Limitations: For each license key, only the subscribed amount of seats may be used by any machine/user at any one time.
All licenses are non-transferable. A person or a company registered as a license user is assumed to be the owner of the license. Once issued, the license may not be transferred to another user or re-registered to another username. A company can allocate and deallocate company licenses to employees as needed.
Registering your license key
- Upon purchasing a license you will receive your key by email, usually almost immediately.
- Follow the steps on this page to enter your license key.
- New license keys can only be used in v2.4.0 onwards. You may have to update to the latest version.
